At Parkhill Medical Clinic, we provide comprehensive healthcare services for children from infancy through adolescence. Regular pediatric visits help monitor a child’s growth, development, and overall health while allowing physicians to identify and address potential concerns early.
Our family physicians work closely with parents to support children’s physical, emotional, and developmental well-being at every stage of childhood.
Pediatric Services
Alberta Health Services recommends regular well-child checkups to track a child’s growth, development, and behavior from birth through adolescence. Important visits occur at 3–5 days, 1 month, and at 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18 months, followed by yearly visits from ages 2 to 5 and then every 1–2 years afterward.
These checkups include Well Child Services (ages 2 months to 5 years), delivered by public health nurses at community health centers. They focus on routine immunizations, developmental screening, and guidance on nutrition and parenting. The schedule covers infancy visits at regular monthly intervals, then annual visits during early childhood, and continued checkups every 1–2 years up to age 18.
